In a bid to help meritorious students achieve their dreams without financial constraints coming in the way, Lovely Professional University (LPU), India’s largest private university rewarded around 250 students with the LPUNEST Study Grant worth upwards of Rs 4 crores.
The grant has been specially instituted by LPU from this year for students from financially weak backgrounds who have qualified for Indias leading educational institutions like lIMs, IITs, NITS, NLUs, IHMs and NIFTs. For its own students, the university already offers several scholarships.
Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Union Minister for Human Resource Development said, â€ceNo talented student should be deprived of high-quality education due to lack of funds. Yet, it is a sad reality that there are several students who are unable to take admissions at institutes of their choice owing to financial challenges. This Study Grant by Lovely Professional University is a fantastic initiative and will enable hundreds of students to achieve their dream of attaining quality education. I wish more institutions emulate this. á€D
